Reformer Teacher Certification

This is a 116+hour teacher training program. Upon graduation, you will be able to teach Reformer group classes or one-on-one safely and effectively.

The BodyTree Approach is a client-centric approach, based on the belief of teaching the clients presented, as opposed to mindlessly applying a fixed sequence of exercises to any body.

During this course, you will learn the critical thinking process. This process is imperative for you to teach a class that is relevant, meaningful and effective for your clients.

You will:

– understand and learn how to do each Reformer exercise well and what each exercise’s primary intention is

– learn how to look and “read” your clients’ bodies

– make informed judgements about what you see

– learn to make modifications or progressions to an exercise as required

– learn about class design and class programming

This course is required to fulfil the Comprehensive Teacher Training Track.

Clinical Certification is available for our Reformer Teacher Certification program. Refer  to Program Requirements for applicable exemptions.

Structure

PREHAB TRAINER™ - Upper & Lower Limb

At the heart of our Pilates Teacher Certification courses is our Prehab Trainer™ Program. Created by Daniel Chan, Director of Education of BodyTree Academy, as a response to the missing link in Pilates Teacher Training Courses. The PREHAB TRAINER™ Program helps you help your clients achieve their physical goals regardless of your chosen movement discipline.

Prehab Trainer™ is a step-by-step critical thinking process to:

  1. Recognise movement dysfunctions in a client; or the potential for specific movement dysfunctions.

  2. Understand what a particular movement dysfunction or imbalance implies.

  3. Make the best decisions on what exercises will benefit the client e.g. what and/or when to release; stretch; activate; or strengthen & condition.
