  • Claudine Liang

Claudine began her journey as a performing artist at the age of 9 with the Singapore Dance Theatre before venturing into other genres such as jazz, musical theatre, tap, contemporary, hip hop, and street dance. With a decade of experience in arts education and movement coaching for local schools and tertiary institutes, Claudine possesses a keen understanding of the nuances of the body in motion.

In 2016, a significant back injury during a dance scholarship in the United States, was accompanied by devastating news that she could no longer dance professionally again. After a period of rest, guided by her own intuition to try to move in small and unconventional ways, she made a remarkable recovery and reclaimed the stage in 2018. Enriched by that profound experience and drawing from her degree in Psychology, Claudine launched her own online somatic movement workshops during the pandemic, holding space for a moving community when the world temporarily hit pause.

Claudine's decision to become a Reformer Pilates instructor, is inspired by her belief that the body can recover by moving in parts, until it can move seamlessly as one. As a creative and reflective individual, she is vested in the transformative power of movement, and its impact on emotional and mental well-being.
