Why Movement Anatomy™ I – Biomechanics?
If you are a newly certified Pilates teacher, Yoga instructor, personal trainer or group exercise instructor, you may only be briefly educated in Anatomy. As a result, you know you need to improve your ability to assess your clients’ postures and alignment more accurately especially during movement.
Derived from the fundamentals and principles of Pilates, this course aims to LINK movement with science to help you gain a better understanding of the biomechanics and kinesiology of the human body. Attending this course would help you and your clients improve their movements and correct faulty movement habits.

Course Description
This 12-hour course held over 2 days will:
– Explore the relationship between the Axial skeletal and the Appendicular skeletal system
– Review movement mechanics of the skeletal system
– Explore assessment techniques linking Pilates movements with biomechanics and kinesiology
– Review muscle involvement effecting skeletal alignment and movement
Prerequisites
Fitness professionals, personal trainers, group exercise instructors, yoga teachers, Pilates teachers from other schools, health care providers, physiotherapists and other manual therapy workers.
It is recommended that participants attend Movement Anatomy™ – Basic prior to this course.
