For curious corporate professionals

Thinking about a career change?
Explore Pilates teaching—without quitting your job yet.

Join BTA’s Try Teaching session and experience what it feels like to guide a simple Matwork class. A practical first step for corporate professionals curious about becoming a certified Pilates teacher.

A first step,
not a leap.

Is this for you?

You may enjoy your work, but feel ready for something more meaningful.

Or you may already love Pilates and wonder whether teaching could become part of your future.

  • You work in a corporate role but feel drawn to health, movement, or wellness
  • You already practise Pilates, yoga, or another movement discipline
  • You want a career with more human connection and flexibility
  • You are curious about teaching but not ready to commit to a full certification
  • You want to explore a new path while keeping your current job

If you ticked even two of these, the Try Teaching session is a low-pressure way to find out whether Pilates teaching could be your next chapter.

What happens in the session

A hands-on introduction to the role of a teacher.

Come as you are. You will learn in a supportive, small-group setting with a BTA educator.

  1. 01Experience a short Matwork class led by a BTA educator
  2. 02Learn one foundational exercise and how to cue it clearly
  3. 03Practise teaching a partner in a relaxed, supportive setting
  4. 04Understand the difference between practising Pilates and teaching it
  5. 05Ask practical questions about training while working full-time

Let’s be real

“But I have a full-time job…”

You do not need to decide your whole future today. This session is simply a chance to find out whether the work feels like you.

“I can’t quit my job.”

You do not need to. Start with Try Teaching or the 25-hour Immersion to explore the path first.

“I have no teaching experience.”

You do not need any to attend. The session is designed for curious beginners.

“Am I too old or too new to Pilates?”

There is no single right background. Curiosity, consistency, and willingness to learn matter most.

“Will this actually lead to work?”

BTA’s Matwork Certification prepares graduates to teach in studios, gyms, and fitness settings.

“Is it expensive?”

Start with the entry-level session first. Payment-plan options can be discussed before enrolment.

“Am I flexible or fit enough?”

You do not need to look a certain way or be advanced. Good teaching starts with curiosity and learning to guide real people.

Common questions

You do not need all the answers before you begin.

Do I need to be advanced in Pilates?

No. This session is for curious movers, not only advanced practitioners.

Can I attend if I work full-time?

Yes. Try Teaching is designed for working professionals who want to explore a different path without leaving their current role.

What is the difference between Try Teaching, Immersion, and Certification?

Try Teaching is a first experience. Immersion explores Pilates teaching in more depth, while Certification prepares you to teach professionally.
