The BTA Comprehensive Pilates teacher training (Compre TT) is a 470-hour program. Upon graduation, you will be able to teach clients group classes and one-on-one sessions utilising Pilates concepts and the BodyTree Approach with the

  • Reformer
  • Cadillac, and
  • Wunda Chair

The heart of the Compre TT is in its client-centric approach. You will learn to teaching the bodies (clients) presented, as opposed to mindlessly applying a fixed sequence of exercises to any client.o help you help others move well and with ease.

Starting from the Mat TT, the focus is on the process of:

– assessing your client when they are moving
– making critical judgements about their strengths, challenges and imbalances
– deciding what your client needs
– understanding which pieces on which Pilates apparatus is the most relevant to your client at every stage of his/her practice
– understanding the intention of each Pilates movement on each apparatus so that the benefits of the exercise can be experienced by the client through relevant verbal and tactile cues
– managing client’s expectations and goal setting

Is the BTA Compre TT for you?

The Compre TT is suitable for you if you are a

– FITNESS TRAINER who believes in movement longevity for yourself and for your clients. You want to practice and teach in a way that sustains your body. You want a practice that you and your clients can do at every stage of their lives

– MOVEMENT TEACHER (yoga teacher; dance teacher; gymnastic coach etc) who wants to elevate your quality of teaching by incorporating and integrating Pilates concepts and the BodyTree Approach into your classes. You also have the choice to expand your teaching repertoire or start teaching a Pilates class upon graduation

– PILATES ADVANCED PRACTITIONER / CLIENT who wants to turn your passion into a career

This is a 470-hour program that takes approximately between 48-58 weeks to complete.

Students are required to schedule and complete Practice, Observation and Practice Teaching hours in between the Classroom hours.

(i) Classroom hours – 120* (please scroll down for “Schedule for Classroom Hours”)
(ii) Practice hours – 150
(iii) Observation hours – 80
(iv) Student teaching hours – 120

Upon completion of all hours and meeting the minimum requirements of the theory, performance and teaching evaluations, the student will be awarded with a teaching certificate.

1pm-7.30pm (6.5hrs) on days 1-4
1pm-7pm (6hrs) on day 5

27th Mar 2019 (Wed) to 30th Mar 2019 (Sat)
1pm-7.30pm (6.5hrs) on all days

7th Jun 2019 (Fri), from 2pm
Mat TT evaluations

19th Jun 2019 (Wed) to 23rd Jun 2019 (Sun)
1pm-7.30pm (6.5hrs) on days 1-4
1pm-7pm (6hrs) on day 5

18th Sep 2019 (Wed) to 21st Sep 2019 (Sat)
1pm-7.30pm (6.5hrs) on all days

Compre TT evaluations to be scheduled between 16th Dec 2018 and 28th Feb 2019.

* Students must fulfill all practice, observation and practice teaching hours prior to 28th Feb 2020.


At least 6 months as a Pilates practitioner at Pilates BodyTree.
